I've never been to Cabo, and probably will never go because of the cartel and their prevalence in Mexico. The Mexican government and law enforcement have been infiltrated and are in the control of the cartels. There are so many other places to go, so no, not taking vacations in Mexico will not be missed by myself or my family. Others go there and I feel they are beguiled by the appearance of peace.

Hello no!!! Just cancelled my trip to the Cabo. It's not particularly cheap anymore so what's the point? There are hundreds of beautiful resorts around the world where you don't have to worry about this nonsense.

I also read today that the Border Patrol was in Puerto Penasco, MX. They took out many outlook areas put there by the cartels. Was that location also in your purview? I visited there multiple times while living in AZ 25 years ago. A most beautiful place where the ocean was turquoise and the white sand was up to your shins. Lovely and sad.

Yes - one of the scout sites the Mexicans destroyed overlooked Federal Highway 8, approximately 15 miles north of Puerto Peñasco.
