Trump DC Takeover Result: Immigration Arrests Spike
ICE: No officers at DC schools when classes begin Monday

THE WEEK’S US BORDER NEWS IN BRIEF:
(Follow headline links to a full article)
ICE agents deployed to Washington, DC have fueled a dramatic increase in arrests of immigrants. Since August 7, federal officials have arrested 300 people in DC who don’t have legal immigration status, the administration said — a more than tenfold increase over the typical ICE arrest numbers for the district, a CNN review found.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Todd Lyons said parents in Washington, D.C., should not expect to see ICE officers visiting schools when kids go back to school in the nation’s capital on Monday. But he said there may be circumstances when ICE comes on school campuses in the future. Lyons said ICE officers may need to make welfare checks on students in the district if they were identified as an unaccompanied child when they crossed the southern border.
A federal judge on Thursday ordered a halt to new construction at "Alligator Alcatraz" and barred bringing more detainees to the migrant detention center in the Florida Everglades touted by President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams also ordered the removal of some equipment and supporting infrastructure at the remote facility.
Immigration officials said they intend to deport Kilmar Abrego Garcia to Uganda after he declined an offer to be sent to Costa Rica in exchange for remaining in jail and pleading guilty to human smuggling charges, his defense attorneys told a court Saturday.
On Friday, “the government informed Mr. Abrego that he has until first thing Monday morning — precisely when he must report to ICE’s Baltimore Field Office — to accept a plea in exchange for deportation to Costa Rica, or else that offer will be off the table forever,” his defense attorneys wrote.

Thank you, Jack. The DC Mayor and democRATS are complaining about the "unfairness " of President Donald Trump. However, the citizens are elated by the new safety measures to clean up the teenage thugs and the illegal migrant criminals. Jack, I hope that the DemocRATS keep making serious mistakes. You are keeping us Patriots informed.
I'm starting to think that a more focused approach might be productive: Rather than allowing the Dems to frame ICE as targeting innocent farm workers and breaking up hard-working families, I think it might be wiser to pursue all the "sanctuary" mayors and governors who are deliberately sheltering known criminals from the feds, and to start exposing the corruption around the phony compassion narrative. Talking up the provable links between George Soros foundations' and the mayors, prosecutors, and judges he has helped install wouldn't hurt either. And if someone can locate Mayorkas, who seems to be on extended sabbatical, a Congressional inquest might shed some light on this very curious state of affairs.
Here are some surprisingly shady employees of Boston's sweet & petite mayor Michelle Wu, who speaks to passionately about standing up to the evil Orange Orangutan and his marauding stormtroopers--who could have guessed she was so familiar with the other side of the tracks?

And here's where a good chunk of Mass tax revenues are ending up; certainly might be a wee bit #awkward if the Concerned Citizens who just want to help the poor migrants know exactly what is being done with their money without consent. Wasn't there something about taxation without representation that we learned in civics class? Can't remember now...

Surprise, surprise, compassion is big business for the well-connected. Nate covers several of these rackets on the east coast, but here in CA you'll find the same thing, just as in England:

Another thing I hope will happen soon, besides prosecution of govt officials who refuse to turn over captured foreign felons to ICE, is strong medicine for employers who use illegal immigrant labor. Of course, that's likely to cause major disruption if the guest worker program is not made more sensible. Currently the financial and bureaucratic barriers to hiring seasonal or temporary migrant labor legally are prohibitively high, which seems very odd until you realize that illegals using fake SSNs pay withholding taxes, but don't get to claim refunds.
