The US Coast Guard continues to intercept large numbers of illegal aliens at sea off both the East and West US Coastal Borders.
Last week, the US Coast Guard (USCG) Cutter Campbell, aided by a US Coast Guard (USCG) Global Sentry patrol airplane, as well as the Turks and Caicos Police, intercepted an unsafe Haitian vessel with 103 aboard.

While off Isabela, Puerto Rico, a US Coast Guard helicopter crew pulled two people from the water, after a human smuggling vessel from the Dominican Republic with more than a half-dozen illegal aliens aboard capsized off Shacks Beach. Three aliens successfully swam ashore, while another was pulled from the surf unresponsive and unconscious. Another migrant did not resurface and is feared drowned.

Meanwhile, the Coast Guard continues to intercept human smugglers attempting to bring illegal aliens ashore along the US West Coast. The Mission Bay area has been a particular hotspot there lately. The crew of the USCG Cutter Benjamin Bottoms interdicted 11 aliens aboard a boat west of Point Loma, California.
Days earlier, a Coast Guard boarding crew inspected a suspicious 36-foot sailboat in Mission Bay inspected a suspicious 36-foot sailboat in Mission Bay and found three adults and an unaccompanied minor (all from Mexico) aboard, along with two U.S. citizens who claimed ownership of the vessel. All aboard were taken into custody, and the sailboat was seized.
A day later, a Coast Guard Station San Diego boat crew encountered a 25-foot cuddy cabin vessel with seven illegal aliens aboard more than a half-dozen miles west of Mission Bay. When the smuggling boat captain failed to outrun the pursuing Coast Guard vessel, he tried to disable it by ramming it. The Coast Guard crew responded by firing pepper balls into the smuggling boat as well as three live rounds into the ship’s motor, which swiftly halted the smuggling attempt. All those aboard claimed Mexican citizenship and were turned over to federal immigration authorities.
