Federal authorities have taken down what they call "one of the largest and most dangerous drug trafficking organizations in U.S. history." The operation targeted the Sinaloa Cartel through the seizure of a record-breaking 400 Kilograms of Fentanyl - the largest in the history of the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) - which was the lead agency in the multi-state effort.
The Acting Director of the DEA called it "a battlefield victory against a terrorist-backed network pumping death into our cities."
The arrests and seizures occurred across five US States - most of them along the US Southern border with Mexico - resulting in the following seizures:
Albuquerque, NM:
Approximately $610,000 in U.S. currency
49 firearms, some with switches, and some ghost guns

This Department of Justice will continue working with our law enforcement partners to dismantle every cartel network operating illegally in the United States.” -US Attorney General Pam Bondi
