Texas Governor Greg Abbott was quick to respond to news that the Department of Homeland Security is seeking 20,000 National Guard troops to assist in the mass deportations of illegal aliens from the United States.
"Texas is in. Let's get this done," Governor Abbott posted on x.com.

Although thousands of Texas troops are currently assigned to its "Operation Lone Star" border security mission along the Rio Grande, the federal government has been assigning its own troops and National Guardsmen from other states there, which could allow Texas to withdraw its forces if they are needed elsewhere.

A total drawdown of Texas troops from its border with Mexico is unlikely, given that the Border Patrol has sworn in some of those soldiers to allow them to enforce federal immigration laws and conduct joint operations with U.S. law officers. Texas also has a State Guard that can fill in for its National Guard troops if some are redeployed elsewhere.

UPDATE: Amongst Texas troops assigned to Operation Lone Star (OLS) along the border with Mexico, there is a sudden uptick in discussions on the Reddit “Operation Lone Star” subreddit by soldiers about impending “EOM” (End Of Mission) re-assignments and “WARNOS” (warning notices to troops about upcoming orders or action) possibly signalling a troop drawdown. Nothing official yet - but this bears watching.
More than 10,000 troops have been assigned by the Trump Administration to the US Southern Border with Mexico, compared with 2,500 assigned there during the Biden administration, according to an NPR report.
Do you approve of Texas supplying troops for a Mass Deportation Force?

Jack, you have my honest appreciation for this write up. I have not seen much comparable reporting on this as directly. Please keep producing updates. Especially - if you get any- direct assaults on troops there or civil society in "National Defense" designated areas. People are hungry for this information. It seems like a blackout otherwise. We don't know what's going on if there's a kinetic conflict or not. It's a bad feeling to not know what's going on.
I approve. What do I matter? Let our troops be available to help America get Great Again, and get it done, over the next two or three years. And do something permanent, that is not changeable by the next administration. Make it a permanent, un-changeable law that the border remains secure.
Thank you, Jack, for keeping the news rolling in!
