Texas Governor Greg Abbott is sounding the alarm about a "Sharia City" proposed near Josephine, Texas (in Collin & Hunt Counties) north of Dallas.
The East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC) is planning a 400+ acre development called "EPIC CityEPIC City" centered around a mosque, 1,000 homes, and a K-12 private Islamic school - which would presumably qualify for the $10,000 per student vouchers Abbott has declared as his number one legislative priority - which may explain his sudden alarm about the planned community:

The development, as proposed, is a "cradle to grave" community that includes K-12 schools, parks, and senior citizen housing. At its center is a mosque, a community center, and a school.
Despite the focus on building an Islamic community, the developers have insisted they are "open to all" regardless of their faith or ethnic backgrounds:
On social media, there has been a groundswell of posts stating that the project’s organizers don’t belong in the U.S. Several commenters tagged Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton, asking them to shut the development down.
Here's a sampling of some of the posts:
"This def needs to be investigated and prosecutions should happen. This is a outrage something like this can happen in Texas!" - @Grady_Mclaine (via x.com)@Grady_Mclaine (via x.com)
"I’d like to know what you’re going to do to stop it? When foreigners move to America they need to assimilate to our culture. If that’s not their intention, then they shouldn’t be allowed in." - @Tamjes (via x.com) @Tamjes (via x.com)
"They come to conquer, not assimilate! Are we all going to divide up into towns now?" - @DebraHolman2994 (via x.com)
The small (2,119 population) city of Josephine, Texas, responded to the furor by clarifying that the proposed development was NOT within their city limits:
Despite the furor, the Epic City Developers are proceeding with their plans. while also emphasizing their planned community will not exclude potential residents based on their religious and ethnic backgrounds:
“Our vision is to build a diverse and inclusive community — one in which people of every background, faith, and culture can live together in harmony. We will uphold the safety and well-being of our neighbors at every step of development, starting with thorough individualized assessments of prospective buyers to ensure they align with our goals of safety and security. We look forward to working together to foster mutual understanding, respect, and collaboration as our project moves forward.” -theepicranches.com

I do not understand how anyone with a brain cannot see what has happened in some of the US northern cities, in Canada, virtually all over Europe, and many-many other countries around the world. The muslim faith is all about rule. It is their way or no way. The Koran only offers three avenues for dealing with non-believers, and that is converting, enslaving, or killing. There is no live and let live, or go along to get along. They believe in raping and murdering anybody and everybody of all ages. If this isn’t obvious to anyone, they are too stupid and gullible to help. If our leadership doesn’t do whatever they have to do in keeping this evil from getting a foothold, then shame on them, and us for allowing them to stay in charge.
Kick these people out of Texas. Forbid them from owning any property in Texas.
