Two more men who entered the US illegally have been arrested in recent days for murders committed in the countries from which they fled. On May 6, 2025, in Dana Point, California, US Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Special Agents took a Salvadoran man into custody on an INTERPOL warrant seeking his arrest for a double murder committed in his homeland. ICE says the man was also a member of the violent MS-13 gang.

Meanwhile, the Chief of the US Border Patrol Sector in El Centro, California, has released the photo of a man he says was arrested on an INTERPOL "Red Notice" for a murder committed in Venezuela:
"Are you okay with an illegal alien with an active arrest warrant for MURDER from Venezuela living freely in your town? Well, neither were we. Our team found this foreign fugitive with an INTERPOL Red Notice so he could be arrested and sent home to face justice." - Gregory K. Bovino, Chief Patrol Agent, US Border Patrol El Centro Sector

These arrests followed the May 2, 2025, arrest of another Venezuelan near Dallas wanted in connection with multiple murders committed in his homeland. ICE says Anthony Fabian Marin La Torrewa - wanted for the contract killings of four people - illegally entered the United States around San Luis, Arizona, on Sept. 26, 2022, along with other family members.
