Boost up the northern border while you are at it. Canada has bigger fentanyl labs than Mexico, no minimum sentences for trafficking, and free trade of fentanyl precursors.
Historical notes: I recently read a history of the Pancho Villa era, a century ago. Also read Derrick Jeter's novel Blood Touching Blood, set in the area during the 1870's. History tells us that military involvement will not be clean, easy, or cheap -- which is why you don't let border incursions get to this point.
The horrid 1997 incident was part of a Clinton/Reno/Cohen era pattern, including Ruby Ridge and Waco, that we'd do well to remember, rather than forget. While the military is necessary at this point, we need good reporting on the border and we can't be complacent. We are fortunate to have HHS, DOJ, and DOD dedicated to transparancy, but cannot let them go without oversight.
This is what Reporters, like you, are supposed to do for what used to be thought of as news. "Journalism" is an pseudo-intellectual myth, and apparenty for sale, cheap. Keep it up.
IMO Breitbart's border project/cartel chronicles is really good too. Between you and them, are the two only places we're reliably getting any real information. Good on you for picking up on the Coasties and the Navy.

I am! I have a rare disease and I am retired. All of my extra money goes for medical expenses.
I am sorry to hear about your medical condition. Thank you for reading, and take care.
