My suggestion: Don't split your audience like that, unless you really believe in doing so. My take though, if it catches your attention, it's worth publishing here. Period.

Thanks, Matt!

I am constantly finding interesting information about security situations well south of the US-Mexico Border and in the Caribbean, but I am reluctant to report them in a publication titled "US Border News."

However, you may be on to something. I could expand US Border News coverage to include articles about that - and solicit readers/subscribers about whether they feel those belong here.

If I start getting pushback, then I could push those to an alternative publication devoted to the larger Western Hemisphere (The Americas).

Polling so far is inconclusive (split) - and, if that continues, might be where I end up, based upon your wise advice. We'll see.

PS: It is good hearing from you again. I hope the border security situation in Kinney County is going well (If not, let me know!)

Kinney County has been super quiet. Deputies had a pursuit this week, first one in months. Most of the traffic from Acuna, and Piedras Negras seems to break West and East, avoiding the county lines. No one's told me, but it seems like a safe assumption that the word is out about how heavy-handed the courts are in Kinney County. It's costing the county quite a bit of its own money right now, but most of the voters remain staunch in their support.
