Illegal Alien Wanted in 43 Murders Removed from Texas to Mexico
INTERPOL alerted federal authorities that he was in Houston

Ariel Nunez Figueroa - wanted by Mexican authorities for his alleged role in the kidnapping and murders of 43 students from the Ayotzinapa Teachers' College in September 2014 has been deported from Texas and turned over to face justice in his country after US Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) Agents arrested him in Houston.

INTERPOL notified US Authorities that Nunez might be residing in the Houston area in September of 2024, leading to an intense manhunt by US Immigrations & Customs Enforcement (ICE) Agents, resulting in his arrest days later.
Nunez was ordered to be deported from the United States and returned to Mexico by a US Immigration Judge in late January. He was taken to the Juarez-Lincoln Bridge Port of Entry in Laredo, where Mexican law-enforcement officers awaited his arrival at the International Boundary in the middle of the bridge earlier this month.

“For nearly eleven years, this foreign fugitive evaded authorities while the family and friends of those 43 students who were brutally murdered patiently awaited justice for their loved ones. Thanks to outstanding teamwork by ICE, Interpol, and the U.S. Embassy in Mexico, we were able to successfully track him down and remove him to Mexico to face prosecution for his alleged crimes.” - ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Houston Field Office Director Bret Bradford
Is enough being done to find illegal aliens wanted for crimes in the US?
