He has an 'I dont care look' in his mugshot. I dont understand why he stood around arguing with ppl? Mostly I wonder why he has a bond at all? He would def be a flight risk. Isnt it 10% of the bond to be out til court?

Based on the affidavits filed following his arrest, he may have experienced regret for the carnage he caused.

Thanks for the read Jack. A dreadful act - but fortunate it wasn't any worse.

Agreed. This could have been much worse. He had additional Molotov cocktails but did not use them because he "got scared and had never hurt anyone before."

That's amazing - had never hurt anyone before, but felt driven or compelled to do this.

Thanks again for your work. Keep safe, eh?

According to affidavits, he sprayed himself with gasoline, intending to set himself afire - but did not. He also did not employ many other Molotov cocktails he brought to the scene because he was supposedly shocked by the carnage they caused.

While I hate the idea of criminal American citizens being deported to foreign prisons [as Trump floated a few weeks ago], I LOVE the idea of foreign interlopers being sent to detention in places like El Salvador. Although I don't like the fact that some apparently innocent people have been sent there, and ICE still pretends like they never make mistakes. Moderation would be nice...

His family - who has cooperated with authorities - and (who no one has suggested) had advance knowledge of his plans, has been taken into custody and (despite their legal status) may be quickly deported.

Surely that will please most of the public, including many Jewish former Democrats like myself. But it's counterproductive if the kid sees her father as a lunatic, which she might; it's hard to know without an extensive ICE interview. And we also have homegrown radicals who are quite willing to endorse antisocial violence despite [or perhaps because of] having coddled childhoods with liberal parents. It's like the Weather Underground revisited...

This guy would have been on the list of folks needing deportation, but no-one noticed he was a radical and bumped him up to priority #1. It is getting better every week. We are a lot safer than we were in January, thanks to our President and the men and women who serve in his cabinet and in other roles. Just hope and pray enough people realize what Slow Joe did to us and keep remembering for a long time, to make sure this sh!t stops quickly and stays that way.

Maybe the punishment should be dousing the guy in gasoline and lighting him up.

I think our government should deport all known Muslims because their plan is to take over and convert or kill us.
